How to destroy a TTB.

this thing is dead!

atleast it would be if it that carrier was going back into the 89 TTB front third member.

just a FYI, a reverse rotation carrier will fit into a regular rotation housing. i had always wondered that, and found out today.

Re: How to destroy a TTB.

that was the ring gear out of the bronco axle, the scouts is much more beefier.
also, to get the axle shafts to go in all the way you need to gind some of the ends down.

Re: How to destroy a TTB.

so you successfully transplanted a D44TTB carrier in a scout D44 straight cut rear end for the Zuk?

Re: How to destroy a TTB.

almost successfully. give me another 14 hours today to get you an answer.
thins i have learned so far. old ford front calipers fit on scouts, ford 8.8 parking brake cables also fit into scout drums and are about perfect.
the only thing i had to buy new to redo the brakes are hardlines and wheel cylinders. I hope the rest of the swap goes this cheap! I already know how i'm gonna do the flex lines for the axles using old and new bronco parts.

edit- after installing the shsfts, the whole thing would bind and not spin, so i took the grinder and ground off 1/8-1/4" off the end of each shaft. works great now!
