Need help with tranny and t case.

Alright to give you guys a quick run down. I have a 57 Willys Wagon that I got with a 351 windsor in it. It has the original T-90 and D-18 tranny and t case. Can anyone tell me what would be a good ford tranny and t case that would bolt up together without any $400.00 adapter. I need the transefer case to be drivers side drop for the front axle. OD would be nice but not needed. I will wheel this Wagon some, mostly it will be a daily driver.

What kind of price should I expect to pay on these also?

thanks Pete

Re: Need help with tranny and t case.

C-3, -4, -5, & -6 are considered bulletproof autos, but none have OD. Some people think the AOD is weak; other say it's stronger than the E4OD, which needs a computer to run it, but is used on F-SuperDutys. Old C-4s go for ~$200 used; E4ODs are at least $900 reman.

You can take your pick of manuals - NP-435, BW T-18/19, Mazda M5OD, ZF S5-42/47. $100-1000.

Almost all of those will bolt up to the NP-208F, BW-1356, BW-1356 electric, BW-1356 w/PTO, or BW-1342, all of which are driver's drop.
