Where to buy tires

Will 33's fit with no lift? JOKE

Where do you guys suggest buying tires. Go local or buy online. Tirerack doesn't carry the tires i was gonna buy anymore(Kumho Venture MT). They seemed to have the best prices but they only carry the Goodyear MT/R's(i just searched before). I know some of you guys (and a few from other forums) have had problems with 4wheelparts. They offer free shipping though. NTWonline has prices that are just as competive but i'm not sure about shipping rates. Any other good sites out there? Any places i should avoid? I don't want to pay so much in shipping that it defeats the purpose of buying online.

Re: Where to buy tires

If you have a Big O tires store near you, they will sell just about any brand of tire for a good price, with no shipping charges . I would have bought mine through them, but I got the hook-up from a guy my dad works with .

Re: Where to buy tires

I tried looking for them thru thier site when someone else was in the process of searching for tires. They were mentioned a lot and i did the research but none were near me as i recall. Thanks though. BTW I forgot what tires you got. Did you like them. I'm still up in the air but i'm not paying $200 a piece for an AT when TSL's are only like $130 apiece. On the same note i'm not paying $100 for a cheap knockoff mud tire that won't last when TSL's are only like $130.

Re: Where to buy tires

I doubt you have a Les Schwab, but I won't buy tires from anybody else. They have the BEST warantee available. I was actually told that if I ever blew a tire off road, I should wash my truck good, then bring it back saying I hit a road hazard, and they'd replace it for free. My friend tested it out by blowing his tire on a tree stump and no problems, free replacement.

Re: Where to buy tires

I went with the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. I've only put around 1000 miles on them so I don't know about tread life, also the danged weather has been so freaking nice since I got them I don't know how well they do off road yet either !!

Re: Where to buy tires

If you have a means of mounting the tires then I think buying online is probably the best deal. But if you bust one... No warantee. From Schwab you are buying there service and there warantee. If you go on the cheap. You take your chances. NORM

Re: Where to buy tires

If need be, i can probably gain access to 1 or 2 garages for mounting, and possibly balancing, too. Ive never actually balanced a tire myself, but i have mounted/dismounted before
