more power without relays

I just got around to scrounging at the yard for more relays as i filled them with mud again this weekend. I threw 2 pieces of wire in the sockets to get us home and the truck has more power with the wire than the relays. I'm not crazy cause i tested the theory with the truck hot cold morning and night. Maybe is there a voltage drop across the relays that is causing the PCM to not do it's job right? Maybe it's the fuel pump one? The truck has plenty of power with the relays but it's a helluva change with the wires instead.

Dunno try it out for yourselves and see what you think

Re: more power without relays

Which relays are you reffering to, the EGR, TAD & TAB near the starter solenoid?

Hey maybe i will toss mine out for a few more H.P cheaper than a chip

Re: more power without relays

Oh god i tossed those LONG ago. Those things are nothing but codes to me now. I'm talking about the PCM and Fuel pump relays near the driver side firewall after 87. Don't forget i rewired my truck for EFI w/ a harness from a 89 F150 so any other 80-86 might not be in the same place. Not really sure cause i just cut the old harness to get it out. The only thing i needed were a few plug ends. Weird though, huh?

Re: more power without relays

I lost all that emmis crap to a fire in the 89 before i bought it. I got the truck for cheap cause of it. I just tossed the rest of the stuff when i swapped into the 86.
