Significance of Eddie Bauer

Can someone tell me the significance of the Eddie Bauer name compared to the XLT?

I believe but don't quote me on this, but as far as I've seen the eddie bauer has a nicer interior.

Re: Significance of Eddie Bauer

The eddie bauer package only came with tan tutone paint and tan enterior, no trim or molding on the doors like the xlt. It was more of an outdoors package with outdoor/tree stitching in the top of the bucket seats.

Re: Significance of Eddie Bauer

Eddie Bauer is an outdoor outfitter (clothes, luggage, etc) - the package was intended to reflect that spirit, and was the top-of-the-line trim level.

Re: Significance of Eddie Bauer

Yeah, those pine trees stitched to my seats make me feel real special

Last year they were beginning to feel like toilets(no support in the middle, just the sides). Some of the guys here walked me through how to strip the skins off the seats and I did. I got the right glue for foam and glued 1" foam over the middle and hip supports. Big difference now, a whole lot more comfortable !

Sixlitre

p.s./
Wandered into a real Eddie Bauer clothing store last year. No shirts in my size and the pants were way too expensive for me !

Re: Significance of Eddie Bauer

The motor is bad ass. I really haven't got on it yet until today. Definetly picked up some Gs. I'm afraid my swamper aren't going to last much longer.

I'm still having idle problems when the engine is cold though. Not a major problem, just rev it for a while and its fine. Maybe it just wants to be carb'd. I don't have any tools here at school and I don't drive it too often, but I hope to fix it when I go home for Christmas vacation.

My know-it-all friend told me XLT stood for Xtra Light Truck. I'm just like oooooooookay, 6000lbs don't seem too light for 104" wheelbase. I prefer your definetion of XLT over anything though. I lost my Custom emblems on some trees, I guess its time for a custom Xtremely Large Titties emblem.
