Re: pressure

Which Cooper Discoverer are you running?
A/T...S/T...STT...H/T...M+S?

I've been running my MT/R's (33/12.5/15) at 26-27psi.
32psi was HORRIBLE.
That's for general commuting in town, and more ICE than snow.
It's been awfully danged warm lately though!
Most of the snow is gone already.

I did manage to get on some trails before it melted, and ran at 24psi for that.
Tires did way better than I had expected.
Good flotation, and the truck went exactly where I pointed it.
Certainly a major departure from the old BFG-AT's.
Which reminds me, I better post some pics of that adventure.
Made it to the top of our local ski area.

Re: pressure

I keep mine always set to normal pressure. I run swamper tsl radials On ice though my truck is like a big skate it slides all over the place. So considering I live in VA , I really dont worry.

cooper tires

Cooper tires are getting some compliments over on the 4X4 general forum (cooper vs BFGs), i also have heard nothing but good things about those tires, i think that will be my next set of tires, but may be awhile as my Mickeys wear hard!

Re: cooper tires

Actually, NO i didnt . Obviously MT contracts other manufacturers for their products but i didnt know who made their tires. That explains why they wear so long, most of coopers tires have an excellent tread wear rating.

These MT/MTXs are really nice on the highway, but my next set of tires is gonna be bigger & more aggressive. Its going to be a tough call between Bridgestone Dueler Mud Ts & COOPERS SSTs

I was not aware that Cooper made MT's! Do they make all of them, or just the radial tires?
