engine swap or rebuilt

I have a 83 bronco that belongs to my dad that "had" a 302 in it. It has one minor flaw to be the hunting truck he wants,it has a broke crankshaft. The engine is on a stand in my shop.He can get a 351W to go in it. Do i rebuilt the 302 or go with the 351? Will the 351 bolt right up? Would a crank kit be o.k. or complete rebuild? The 302 is real cleanevery where else.

Re: engine swap or rebuilt

crank kits can be fine if all else is ok, but the 351 would fit and have more power. if he gets a complete motor, carb down make sure you get the manifolds and y pipe too. no problem with the carb style, with f i it gets harder. good luck
