wobbles?

Hey guys, a slight problem. If I grab the top of my door jam, pull back and forth with little effort, the bronco will wobble quite a bit. Is it my shocks? I put new ones on about 4 years ago, and haven't done much 4x4ing. Just hunting and fishing.

Re: wobbles?

What kind of shocks did you put on? SOme have lifetime gaurantees, so if they have failed you can take them back.

Sometimes a bad shock will have oil run down the side. That was the case with mine. When i pulled it off it had no pressure in it and would not give any resistance when i pushed on it.

I replaced the whole set (six shocks) with the Edelbrock IAS. They are good shocks and helped with the ride quite a bit but I am not sure they were worth the money (75 bucks each).

Re: wobbles?

I had a look, no oil but they are kind of rusty.

Re: wobbles?

Check out the rubber bushings on the shocks. These bushings will go bad and cause a wobble. Check the upper and lower bushings, you may see the problem.
