Help:computer codes

OK I have an 88 with a 302 and I'm getting an irratic idle. I flashed the codes out manually and got
53-Throttle Position sensor circuit above maximun voltage
31-EGR Valve Position/Pressure Feedback EGR circuit below minumum voltage
I have noticed some pinging at speed with light throttle, so the EGR sensor may be bad.
Now my question. When replacing these sensors are there any adjustments that have to be made. The EGR looks to be a straight swap. What about the TPS, is it a straight swap or is there an adjustment to it.
Thanks for any help you may give me.

Re: Help:computer codes

The TPS is pretty much a straight swap. They're not meant to be adjustable. Before you replace it, check your throttle body to make sure the throttle plate shaft isn't worn, thereby allowing your TPS to send the wrong signal. The pinging you are getting is caused by the EGR.
