Headers On 90

I bought Dynomax headers for my 90 Bronco(302,5spd) but there are no fittings for the O2 sensor I was told to drill a hole in one of the reducers and put it there. Will this work since it will only read one set of cylinders. ..... If any one else done this any tips would be greatly apreciated..Thanx

Re: Headers On 90

Assuming the material is thick enough to tap, you could do it, but that sucks having to modify a new set of headers. Other companies have the HEGO sensor holes already in them. You may want to exchange your set. If you do decide to tap, it shouldn't harm anything reading the one side, your EEC will just read the left bank, instead of both. The hole is a metric size. I think it is an 18 x 1.75, it could be a 18x 1.5, it's been awhile since I retapped one.
