Radius Arm Bushings

I just bought new radius arm bushings for my 96 Bronco, I was wondering how difficult they are to put it. On my passengers side the bracket is bolted in and on the drivers side there is a mix of bolts and rivits. Is it as easy as unbolting the bracket and the radius arm nut and sliding the old bushings off and installing the new. I know that I will have to grind out the rivits on the drivers side.

ya, the bushing isnt all to bad to replace. I replaced the passenger side bushing on my 95 Bronco in about an hour. (it was totally shot, the driver side is still pretty good). Youll just need a little bit of elbow grease and perhaps a strong screwdriver or along those lines to helps align the bolt holes when your putting them back in. (things shifts a bit when all the bolts are out.) I think there is actually a whole kit that you can get from ford that includes a few other little things other than just the bushing.

I have an '88 Bronco and both brackets are riveted. Any suggestions? Is it wise to grind the rivets and install grade 8 bolts? I can't see another way of removing the bushings without removing the front axle.

I have a 90 Bronco and one side is rivits and the other is bolts. It took me probably 15 minutes to unbolt the one side, but took my over 5 hours to get the rivits off. They were a pain in the ass. I hade to drill the heads off, then drill another hole through the whole rivit and then bash the hell out of the rivits. In matter of fact, I still haven't got one off, but the bracket fell off anyways. I'm warning you, the rivits are hell!
