AGR hd steering box and/or pump experience

Does anybody have any comments on the ford hd steering box or pump from AGR? I'm thinking about putting in dana 60's and going to 38-40" tires, so I also need to buildup the steering system. Let me know if you have any useful information. By the way, how much do the box and pump cost? I've heard around 130 for the pump, is that right?

Re: AGR hd steering box and/or pump experience

I run the AGR steering system and it is impressive. My Ford feels like it has Chevy steering and we all know how easy that is to turn. I spent about $130 for the pump ($20 core) and about $300 for the box ($50 core). Those prices included shipping. If you want exact prices, let me know. I love the system and don't know how I got along without them. You do have to use Valvolene Synthetic blend Power Steering fluid and that runs about $3.50 a quart. Great system though.

If it ain't broke, I can probably still fix it.

AGR gearbox

I'm just running the box right now, but I noticed a difference... Main advantage though, is this one doesn't leak! I will upgrade the pump too when the time comes

Re: AGR gearbox

I have 35 SSR radials on my truck now, and have a little feed back only when turning right, might be he box/pump/ujoint??
Kind of locks a little not to the point of a big problem but I can feel it and have to turn the wheel to return with a little resistence.
