Squeaky Door Panel

I have a squeaky passenger side door panel and is very annoying. Its seems that the plastic panel is rubbing against the metal in a few spots. The drive side is fine. Its on a 95 bronco and doesnt have an excessive amout of km's on it. Anyone else have this problem and any possible remedies?

Re: Squeaky Door Panel

Pull the panel, insert new plastic retainers (things that look like plastic screws) and put some clear silcone caulk down where it is squeaking against the door.

If you put it completely around the panel it will make removing it later a real hassle and you will probably end up breaking the panel when you remove it again, not to mention trapping water inside the door.

Re: Squeaky Door Panel

Broncoman, mine squeak sometimes. Hard plastic against metal, with a little bit of movement due to vibration. The door panel design is not the quietest.

Re: Squeaky Door Panel

I found that the panel rubs against the metal one mine too, but I also found that the panel for the window/door locks can also rub against the larger panel. This was the case on my driver door. I did the above mentioned caulk treatment, and the squeak went away.
