WICH4X4?

I am planing to buy a 4x4 for under 1500$. It should be good on gas and have leaf spring suspension front and rear. What should this vehicle be?

Re: WICH4X4?

Good Luck! If you find a 4x4 that has good gas mileage, let me know. I just know that you are not talking about a full size Bronco!

Plus, this is a bulletin board for Late Model Broncos. And we all have gas guzzlers.

If you want a Bronco, get a Bronco II

They came with 6cyls. and even fours I think. And can be found really cheap!
If your open to anything, an old jeep or Suzuki Samarai would sip very little gas. and both can be very capably offroaders

Re: If you want a Bronco, get a Bronco II

Well scratch the jeep idea. My 90 4 banger gets about 16 to 18 and from what I understand thats about "normal". Sad when my old 79 bronc. with 4.56's, 39.5 swampers, and a 460 got up to 12 on the highway! And my brothers 88 351 bronc. gets 14 highway, even with 175,000 miles. I wish I had of known before I bought the jeep. Oh well! Like previously stated bronco II's are cheap and you can get them with 4-bangers, but they are coil sprung in the front. Old toyota's come to mind for "economical" leaf sprung 4X's, can't think of any others. Hope this helped.
