302 vs. 460

I'm fixin' to put in a new motor in my truck, but i'm tied up between which is better. So my question is, 302 or 460, which is better and why?

Re: 302 vs. 460

It all depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for monster torque? Gas milage? Horsepower? On your profile, it doesn't say what kind of "truck" you have. If it is a big truck with big tires, you will want a 460. If it is a little truck, a 302 will do fine. The 302 has been built for many years, and is a very popular engine. Parts (factory and aftermarket) are very avaliable and are less expensive for the 302. It all depends on what you want to do with the vehicle.
