I have bought a few things from Jegs. Just recently I ordered a Melling High Pressure Oil Pump and ARP heavy duty Oil Pump Shaft. Guess what? The pump came, but the oil pump shaft did not.
So, I called them and asked what was the problem. They said it was on back order. So, I explained that they could have called and told me so, so I could at least have order the Ford Motorsport one.
And the smart ass told me they couldn't call everyone about back orders. I then explained that I did not order the pump and shaft to replace at different times. I then asked him if he ordered a car and it arrived without the tires, because those stock tires were on back order, wouldn't he expect them to notify him and ask if he wanted a different brand of tires put on the car.
He was dazed! Hell, I always believed that satisfying the customer was top priority with a business. At least to be courteous and try to make the customer feel as if they are appreciated.
So, if you order from Jegs, make sure that you ask if the item is in stock, and if not that you want the opportunity to change the order to some other brand. Or you will end up with one part, and may not see the other part until it is too late.
