Carbs and headers

Anyone have a suggestion on a good off-road carb to replace my factory Holley? I have an '85 bronco 5.8L H.O. with the factory 4bbl Holley. It starves itself out in off-camber situations off-road and when jumping around on the sand dunes. The engine is completely stock so I shouldn't need any bigger than the 600cfm that is on it just something that performs better.

Also does anyone have any suggestions on what headers to use? I would like to have some that don't require gasket replacements all of the time and perform well also.

I'd rather be snowmobiling than working any day.....

Re: Carbs and headers

Holley makes a kit for carbs that have spring loaded needle and seats. This helps to prevent the carb from starving or flooding itself when at an extreme angle. I had an edelbrock 600 on an old amc jeep with theis kit installed and never had problems. The rock climbing guys all have carbs...

Looking for the best header, JBA..
I have them on my Mustang and they are excellent, never had gasket problems but expensive.
