Out mudbogging last night,c-6 started blowing oil out bellhousing

I was out bogging my 81 bronco last night, and while pulling a dead vehicle out of the swamp I got stuck. I was hammering on it back and forth when the tranny started POURING oil out the bottom of the bellhousing, where it bolts to the block, right at the inspection plate. What probly went here, my guess in the seal behind the torque converter. Will a c6 from a 79f150 with a 460c6 work in mine even though its 2wd, mine has a 460 also by the way. Im fixing after work, any tips would be a godsend, Chad H

i don't think the t-case will bolt up to the 2wd trany, i was thinking of swaping my c series for a 4 speed, but the catch is i have to find a 4wd trany in order to bolt the t-case up.

Off roading relieves stress unless u break someth'n!!!!

You overheated because of a Remote Transfilter???? HUH? Why would a remote filter cause you to overheat?
