Did Ford offer a limited slip in the front Dana 44 in 1988?
Judging from the condition of my truck it didn't look like it was ever really used off-road (at least not by an enthusiast). But I've found that the front has some type of limited slip. Maybe they just really took care of it... just strange and I'm wondering if the factory ever offered it...
The LS seems like it'd be awful on the road in ice. It really wants to go straight while driving with the hubs locked. In the ice, it probably would... Just curious as to what others have experienced... ?
Anyone know if the friction modifier makes more friction or less? So if you don't put any in, will it make the diff slip or stick really hard?
Not sure if they offered a factory LS, but I put a TracLoc in the front of my 95, it works great in the sand and on rocks here in AZ.
but its a bear as far as stearing goes. Haven't had the pleasure of snow or ice yet, someone told me to unlock one hub if it
gets to unmanageable on ice. The added benefit of traction outways getting stuck.
