growling after playing in water

After going through some DEEP water my truck now growls when I'm accelerating or especially when I'm going above 30 or so and I let off the gas fully. I've replaced diff/t-case fluids and that didn't help. Any ideas? Not only is it a sound but also a slight vibration.

Lube your driveshaft U-joints and slip joints heavily.

Re: growling after playing in water

Growling sounds like wheel bearings or axle bearings. However, these are usually worse at high speeds. Ay any rate, wheel bearings don't like mud. I have to clean and re-pack mine frequently.

Re: growling after playing in water

My friend recently had the same symptoms in his Bronco. Culprits were two broken motor mounts. Crawl under and check em out
