Pre-runner Bumpers

>>>>This question is to the 87-91 crowd. I own an 89 F-150 and have been looking for pre-runner bumpers for some time now. All I usually get when I ask the local shops is "I know a good fabricator". I know some good fabricators too, but, that will cost too much. I am hoping someone knows of pre-made bumpers for this application(or at least the front/same as Bronco). I am thinking somewhere around 500 for front and rear, maybe a little more if there is an integral skid plate. Unfortunately I don't have the equipment at my house or the time even to build them myself. Any info to put me on the right trail would be greatly appreciated. TIA. Laters.

Re: Pre-runner Bumpers

Hey Mudmonger,

If you find out where I'd like to know also. I looked around and I got the same thing. I saw some really nice pre-runners in mags (K Bar S has one in their ad but it's custom built) but there all custom built. I was told that if you live on the West Coast their popular there and can be made up by quite alot of shops, but if you live on the East Coast like I do you can pretty much forget about it.

I however did find the Smitty Built pre-runner bar which looked different for my area (everyone around here has the safari type push bar/grill guard). It also has an aluminum skid plate.

Good luck,

Alex "Bravoman" Benoit

Re: Pre-runner Bumpers

I know Reaper Racing makes some sweet pre-runner bumbers and skidplates. They make them for 92-96 Fords and 99 Super Duties. I don't know about 87-91?
