Computer Compatible Camshafts

>>>Hello everyone, how is it going? Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any info or experience with camshafts for computer controlled 302s. I have an 89 F-150 with a 5.0 and I have added about every external upgrade I can. And, well, you know, It still isn't enough(never is, is it?). I definitely want to keep the fuel injection, so anything not computer friendly is out of the question. Any other power suggestions would be appreciated as well. The truck already has JBA stainless shorty headers, Jacobs Ultra-Team ignition, K & N air filter(doesn't everyone have one of these?), Magnaflow muffler single in and dual out with 3 inch pipes, and a little less catalytic converter restriction than it ought to have. TIA for any info. Later.

Re: Computer Compatible Camshafts

You can try a Jet Performance Module. It goes for about 239 from Truck Performance Center (800) 719-8100. I also have the JBA headers, K&N Filtercharger Kit, MSD ignition, flowmaster exhaust and the module did make a difference. It shifts at a higher rpm when at full throttle and changes the fuel/air ratio and adjusts the timing accordingly. By the way my engine is a 351W.

Hope this helps.

Re: Computer Compatible Camshafts

Crane Cams has a line of "Compucams" that work great with FI motors. that have a few for the 302 and it adds enough power to feel the difference....

Do'n it with only 6 cylinders!
