Re: 5.0L Injector size

Mmmm yeah, good idea muddy Luckily I just did this. Funny to watch the price shoot up in the last 2 minutes and then place a single bid with 4 seconds in the auction.

Woohoo! Hopefully this is it because I dont recall it smoking much before the injectors. I guess I'll save the 24lbs injectors for a Vortech engine rebuild. *hint hint*

Re: 5.0L Injector size

Great... all the 1/2" bolts are off except for that Torx bolt in the middle. I have always gotten it off before with a simple hex bit, but now it just spins. I picked up a 30 Torx bit and the damn thing can't fit inside between the two plenums. Is there some special elongated torx bit I need? Or should I just break out the file and elbow grease?

Re: 5.0L Injector size

Thanks, I ended up grinding it down quite a ways, then I was finally able to get it.

Hopefully the new 19lb injectors will be the answer.

Thanks to everyone for their help, this board is one of the best out there.

Now, anyone want a set of 24# Accel fuel injectors with about an hour on em? I have the boxes and all original seals. $140 reserve... hehe

Re: 5.0L Injector size

Lol, I thought I was gonna have to drill it out. I would use a 1/4" but I torqued that baby down with a 1/2" drive.
