steering shutter

I have a 94 dodge ram 1500 4wd. I have been having a problem with the steering. when on the highway going anywhere over 40mph. if i hit a bump in the road or accelerate fast i get a wicked shutter. i have to almost come to a complete stop for it to go away. this is what i have replaced so far, some of which wasn't because of this problem. all new tie rods , sway bar links, front wheel U joints, upper and lower ball joints, shocks, steering stabilizer. I had a alignment done also. Any suggestions on what might be causing this would be helpful? Oh the steering is also very sloppy, meaning there is a LOT of play while driving, thanks.

Re: steering shutter

Also check your track bar and mounts. Not enough caster could cause that too.

Re: steering shutter

If not what WILL said, then check the steering box. Do you have aftermarket wheels? I've heard of wheels/tires with certain backspacing causing the condition you describe, commonly known as "death wobble."
