Dakota Quad Cab Lift

I have an 03 Dakota Quad Cab and I am considering lifting it. Does anyone know if this will void any warranty?
Anyone done it, have a pic, etc?

I am thinking 3" lift with some 285/75/16's

Thanks.

Re: Dakota Quad Cab Lift

They look pretty sweet lifted. If I recall correctly you can only body lift those due to lack of a suspension kit, but this could have changed. Try doing some searches HERE and see if you can find pics, I seen one freshly lifted recently and it was pimp as h#ll. As far as warranty your ok unless the dealer can prove the failure was as a result of the lift. Most dealers don't care because they make their money on warranty claims

Re: Dakota Quad Cab Lift

Okay, there's this Law that says if the modification was done correctly by a competent mechanic, then they HAVE to cover it under warranty, UNLESS they can prove the problem is due to the mod. I forget the name of it. It has been discussed here on the ORC forums before.

So if you put 44's on your truck with the stock 3.73 gears and toast your tranny, yer still SOL.
