Tire size recomended for 2000 RAM 2500? bigger..

Just bought a used 2000 Dodge RAM 2500 (diesel) truck but the tires are pretty worn out, so I thinking of getting bigger size tires than standard without any lift. Any advice what is the next larger size of tires I should put on the truck without effecting the ride or speed too much... Will not be going off-road on this truck, just lookin for little higher look but not too much either... any advice...
currenty, it has LT265/75/16 (will not be changing the rims)

Thank You

Also, I know this is little late, but what do you guys think of the 2000 RAM 2500 diesel, good choice or not? I will be receiving the truck next week....

285/75R16 (33x11.25R16) and 255/85R16 (33.25x10R16) fit with no rubbing.

The 265/75R16's you have now are basically 32x10.5R16's.

AK's are cool. I have an Egyptian Maadi myself. <--AR-15's suck.
