\'89 ram 350 van axle ?\'s

Hey all, I've got a van (vin decoder says it's a bus!) I'm trying to figure out what rear axle it has. Let me give you the info I can get off the diff.

Diff. cover:12 bolt w/rubber plug

opposite side of diff. cover on webbing:

top pass.: 4384215
ctr. pass.: 4
chrysler symbol
bottom of diff.: 300 8

top dri.: 6
23250

I hope this makes sense, and I appreciate the help.

Full floating or semi floating?

12 cover bolts and a rubber plug sounds suspiciously like the Chrysler 9.25" our half tons have. That shouldn't be under a 1 ton van though.

AJ yer right / the semi-float 9 1/4 was used in all VANS but the super heavy duty MAXI-vans which got the dana 60 / I,m running one in my RC / they bolt right in / the only difference I have found is the brakes are smaller / my RC had 12x3 and the van rear had 11x2-1/2 which aint that big a deal

Yeah, I'm keeping my eyes open for one of those 5x5.5" Dana 60's (semi-floating I beleive) that I've heard of being under a few Dodge vans of heavier GVWR.

You have a dana 60 in the ramslammer finially? Now if you can find one for the front to solve the weak u-joint / axle shaft problems you've been having in the past... You get a locker for the rear yet?
How is the snow there, I was there when you had 3 feet a couple weeks back, we still have none!

Thanks for the info guys! I may be pulling it to replace the D35c in my xj (far in the future). Guess I'll do some more research on the 9.25 and see if it's worth the trouble.
