Rancho shocks

A few months ago I bought some coil spacers off ebay and a set of Rancho RSX shocks for a 2-3 inch lifted ram. I was going to install these on my Off Road Ram. I traded the truck for a 2500 ctd last weekend. I called 4 wheel parts about sending back the shocks and they said NO. After I calmed down, I went to Rancho's website. These shocks also fit a 2500. Here is my question, I can use the spacer and front shocks on my 2500. But what would happen if I use the longer shocks on the rear of my non lifted 2500? I probably will not "wheel" this Ram since I have a Zuk now.
