Headers and Exhaust

If I were to put on a set of Dynomax headers with 1 5/8" primaries and 3" collectors then run dual 2 1/2" straight pipes would this leave enough backpressure or would this be to little? This is for a 360, and I know it will be loud.

Re: Headers and Exhaust

you would get more performance from a good set of turbo mufflers, especially running 2 1/2" pipes. and loud really isn't as acurate as annoying. i have headers and did have glasspacks and at highway speeds(about 2800 rpm) the drone from the exhaust was really annoying and it was hard to talk to passengers. when one of my glasspacks fell off it was real bad and i would set off car alarms in parking lots when i would start my truck. i went with 2 1/2" and thrush turbo mufflers with turndowns and didn't think i would like it, but now i'm glad i did(even if my truck does sound like a u.p.s. truck now). when i mash the go pedal it still sounds good.
