Interior light stays on (99 Ram)

I have the 99 2500 and when I get into the truck at night the interior light stays on intill I start the truck. There are times that I want to get in and dont want the light to stay on. Is there a way to kill the delaying interior light in the cab???

Try locating a schematic of the wiring to find a timer do-hicky... I took a look in the manual and I saw a thing called a key-in-switch/ halo lamp or key-in ignition switch sensor but that has a listing of a buzzer module, maybe interconnected? There is a time delay relay listed too on page 12-20 haynes repair book. Good luck!

You might see if the dealer can turn it off with their "magic box" Thats the way they turned my auto lock feature on, the one that locks the doors over 15 mph.
