Please help Big Block 727

Im looking at using the output shaft of my small block 727 in the case of a Big Block 727 to mate an np208 to a 383.
what is a fair price on a used big block 727. Ive found one at a wreckers going for $450. This seems a little high to me
but Im not sure. The thing is, the 383 is allready built and ready to go, vs saving 450 and putting that into the rebuild cost
of the 360. What do you all think.

Re: Please help Big Block 727

$450 is way too much for a junkyard 727 in unknown condition.
I think you can get a B&M rebuilt 727 for about $650 from Summit or Jegs.
I think $100 - $150 would be a reasonable price of a builder 727, maybe a bit more for a known good trans.
