Fuel Inj for 79 w/318? & OD Trans??
Anyone know about swapping out the 4 barrell thermoquad for fuel injection, or what about swapping out the 3 spd trans for a later model OD transmission. I love my truck, but my truck like the gas station !

I am putting in the fuel injection from a 1988 318 on my 79, got the whole 88 motor for $600 with all wiring, sensors, and gas tank from the local
salvage yard. Still putting it together. Its throttle body injection, to use the later multiport you would have to swap the whole motor as the heads and mainifold are different. Wiring is not too hard, but you should have both service manuals to match up the wires. Laddie Hanus |
