intake painting

Can I just use engine paint under the intake manifold? I've seen "specail" paint to coat the insides of motors with. Is the extra cost worth it?
oh yeah 318 motor.

Re: intake painting

Well, Joe... I've used the "high heat" & "high quality" paints for the inside of the engine to help with oil flow. The smooth, slick painted surface really does improve oil flow. BEWARE! Do not use cheap paint or do a half-assed job. The paint could flake off and, well, you know what'll happen. Just be thorough and careful.
