front carrier on 87 R/C

I'm putting a new front axleshaft seal on the right side of my R/C. In order to pull the front carrier out to access the seal do I have to pull both of the front axleshafts? What should I keep in mind when taking out the carrier?

Yes, you must pull both axleshafts. Just make sure when you loosen the straps holding the carrier in that you put them back on EXACTLY the way they came off. Also be sure to put the shims from each side EXACTLY where they were. Tighten cap bolts to OEM specs. Real simple if you dont mix up all the shims.........have fun.....-robo-
