oil leak

Help I'm tracking an oil leak and can't find it. I feel like the three stooges. I replaced the valve cover gaskets they were weeping. That did nothing. I replaced the O ring on the distributor and found the small oil pressure switch was leaking. I fixed that and I still have a puddle on the garage floor. The puddle is at the rear of the motor but now I can see oil al over the front of my motor. It is soaking my air filter and my heater hoses but I can't see where it's coming from. Could it travel from the oil pan up the motor while I'm driving on the highway

Re: oil leak

It's hard to say...But sounds like you need to check the front seal I would also check the rear one (oil in the bellhousing?). Get a couple of cans of Brake
Clean and clean the areas off real well, put the engine under load then check it for wet spots. You may have to drive it. By the way, have you changed to Synthetic oil ? It will leak (sometimes) with old seals.
