Building a Tuff truck need help!

Our club got challenged to tuff truck event. We don't really want to spend alot (really none at all). We have 1977 dodge ramcharger that we are going to use because it was donated to us. It is full-time with a 360. We are going take the doors and top off. For a cage, we are going to take to cj roll bars, one at the back, one behind the seats and weld two bars across to link them. We will truss the axels so they can take the jumps. Can any body else think of anything that needs to be done to make the truck competitive enough? The other club is running a basically stock samurai.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Building a Tuff truck need help!

Besides a very good suspension and trussed axles, I would say probaly something to stop the carb from acting up when hitting jumps like fuel injection...
