99 factory exhaust, aluminized or stainless steel?

3 years of Michigan have made it kinda hard to tell. So far I beleive it's 3" all the way through, but I'm drawing a blank on the type of pipe. Aluminized or stainless steel?

Yeah, it is stainless, which had me pumped for a minute, then I noticed it's a 3" tail pipe from the muffler back. The muffler and the pipe going to the cat is 2.5". I had my trucks exhaust done cat back three years ago with a flowmaster muffler and dual 3"tips out the back for $225, without the exspensive muffler it could have been $170.

Re: 99 factory exhaust, aluminized or stainless steel?

I'm just going to go with a 3" out high flow cat, 3" pipe to the 3" in/out high flow muffler (leaning towards a Magnaflow), and then a 3" tailpipe that exits after the tire but does not extend behind the tire. Like I had on my Blazer. All high clearance and mandrel bent, and probably stainless steel. There's a guy here in my hometown that does it all out of his garage. Great work for dirt cheap.
