Filler neck seal

I have a dodge motor home,1974 dodge van chassis, and the rubber gromet that seals the neck to the tank is split and leaks. tryed dealers, local parts stores and junk yards...no luck...Probably same seal on a truck... can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I'm not to fimiliar exactly but I thought the filler tube is part of the tank, just stubbed out a few inches then to a rubber tube then up to the metal filler which is mounted to the vehicle. Is yours like the hole on top of the tank where the sending/pump unit is where you twist on a big metal washer/ gasket assembly? If so then either use some gasket material or cut up an inner tube in the shape of the gasket you need with some silicone sealant. Hope this helps...

thanks.....but what I need is a rubber gomet....about 2 1/4 diameter and 3/4 in thick and the center hole is about 1 7/8", it has a groove around outer diameter and is smooth in center where the fill neck goes thru it into tank. Many mopars have this...just need to know where to purchase this...am looking into older cuda and challenger, roadrunner ect groups also....

Have you tried the local parts store and got the name and number of the company that makes there gas tanks and see if they have some or know where to find one... good luck
