Dick Cepek lifts for 94+ Rams?

Just found these, sounds good. Love the length of the links on the 6" 2500 kit. I know Dick Cepek went out of business for a while, but someone is making the lifts again. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these:

Yes there is one guy here that has that kit on his 2500, its "big dodge diesel" and he hasn't said anything bad about it that I can remember...

I take it he hasn't been around here in a while?

Most of the lifts for these things seem rather similar and unimpressive. The Skyjacker series and the Dick Cepeks are looking good so far. Autofab has just started mentioning one on their site. They do good things with desert PreRunners, 2wd and 4x4, so I'm interested to see what they have to offer as well.

He is not as frequent here as I am by any means but does pop in once in a while. He is a good guy and definately knows his stuff when it comes to his truck! Last I heard of him he was thinking of swapping to rockwell axles instead of his dana 60f and 70 rear on his 98 2500. I wonder if he is doing the swap...

Cool, have to look for him. I dunno if I want to go that high right away, but DC's stuff is starting to get my vote. Really like the looks of the kit. Seems well made and thought out.

Finally got word back from that guy on the Autofab kit. Sounds like a monster of a 4" lift. Resevoir shocks up front and like 12" of travel with coils, resevoir shocks in the rear going through the bed with National spring packs and like 14" of travel. Only downer is the cost:

$7k for just the parts

Told him wow, sounds great, but to much.

Yeah, to much for me, but if you wanted an "order from the 4x4 store, get it by UPS to your door, bolt and weld it on yourself (as long as you can install a regular lift), and go jump the truck 6' in the air" suspension system, this is it. AutoFab does good stuff with PreRunners and Ford TTB systems, sounds like this is just as good.

Re: Dick Cepek lifts for 94+ Rams?

Yeah, their stuff is junk. The reason their prices are so cheap is because their worksmanship is horrible. Booger welds, very bad angles, weak metal, it's horrible. They've also had some legal troubles pretty much since they started advertising. Shady practices by the owners and customers upset with the crap they were sold.

Their IFS stuff is horrible, and their solid axle stuff is not much better.

Stay away from it. Either go with a big name lift or a well respected smaller 4x4 company. Whiplash is not well respected. Go ask about their stuff on the SFA or IFS Fullsize GM boards, my reply will look nice compared to some of the replies you would get up there.

Rocky mountain suspensions canceled them from there 30 day trail contract, customers called them about problems relating to the lift alot... I got this info direct from them.
