Electric Fan Install

I have a '98 Ram 1500 with the 5.2 liter. I have an electric fan I want to put on to supplement the belt driven unit. My question is, my fan came with four mounts and "through the radiator" plastic ties. I already used the ties and want to know if there is any other way to mount it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Electric Fan Install

I bought a tranny cooler and they came with them too. I also had an eletric fan till it died from the mud getting into it and I used the same ties. I had no problems with them but i'm sure you could use metal brackets that screw to the radiator support and through bolt them...

Re: Electric Fan Install

You can also use long zip ties thru the radiator core if youre careful. I think tha one of the aux cooler companies sells an install kit. check the auto parts stores
