97 Dakota wheel rubbing

Looking at buying a 97 Dakota SLT with what looks like a 3-4 inch lift. The only problem I see is the inside of the wheels rub at full lock on the tie rod ends scraping both (stock 15" wheels). Anyone else have this issue? Can it be corrected by 16 inch wheels? I would apppreciate any input.

Re: 97 Dakota wheel rubbing

If the wheels are stock, then the steering angles must be way out of whack for thetie rod ends tobe rubbing the rims...I'm sure the factory engineers left some safety margin when deciding what wheels to use. I'd be wary of the lift...especially since SOMEONE ELSE installed it....but if you're set on THIS truck, wheel MIGHT fix the problem...or MIGHT make it worse....a picture would really help us help you here...
