Hey everyone. Outstanding board you have here. Looks like a good place for info. I'm mechanicly challenged.(cant spell either) so bear with me if my ?? seem to be a little on the duh side. My truck has 3.23 gearing. Truck specs are in my profile. Is that a low ratio or a high ratio. Also looking for places to do some mild wheelin around Eau Claire WI. Truck is stock with 180,000 miles so it might break easy. Thanks. Pete

Welcome aboard!
A 3:23 ratio is a high one, I have 5:13's with 38's in which is geared low for more power to compensate for larger tires. I live in eastern Mass so can't help much for places to wheel.

Welcome to the board.

(to answer the ? in your profile)
That is a shift on the fly TC you have. Up to about 30mph (I say to be safe, others say 55) you can go right from 2HI to 4HI. If you're shifting it past N to get to 4LO, you need to stop.

For mud tires I highly recommend the Cooper Discoverer STT. They're cheap and good!

Mike
