anybody else have cat problems?

I think one of my dual cats is clogged, since the last 2 times it did, it had melted the egr transducer and now I hear the hissing from it being melted again. I assume its getting clogged up. I thinking of hollowing them out even though its illegal here in Mass. Maybe its the cheap gas I use all the time, oh-well!

Re: anybody else have cat problems?

i think that's illegal everywhere in the US. the local muffler shop has a sign that says "if you dont ask me to remove your cat, i wont ask you to pay $2500". even so, damn near everybody i know has theirs gutted and now i'm thinking about doing it, cuz i'm sure there's tons of mud and crap in there.

Re: anybody else have cat problems?

The truck is back to normal, the left cat was completely free with no honeycomb even in it ut the rightside was clogged with the honeycomb carbon stuff. I cut them out and reinstalled them in after it was cleaned out and now much better. The egr cost me $70 dealer cost, normally $100...
