Leaking Boots
Hey while greasing the zerks for the steering components on my 98 I noticed that a couple of them had grease coming out of the rubber boots. Does anyone have any experience with this and does anyone have a solution to this. How hard is it to replace these boots? Thanks DDGETHS

Re: Leaking Boots
on some boots there is a little groove made into them at the bottom that lets the excess grease out and stops the boot from tearing apart.

Re: Leaking Boots
If you're talking about tie rod ends & ball joints, they're supposed to do that, but they do age. You have to separate each joint to replace them, and most polyurethane companies make good replacements for a couple of dollars each.
