need some help with kids bike

My daughter has a Suzuki drz110, it has been a good little bike for her for the last 4 years, that was until tonight. she had been riding it down our lane and back several times and decided to stop and visit with the neighbor for a while. when she went to start it up again there was something BAD wrong. while cranking with the kick start it makes a loud clicking sound, kinda like something is broke inside... I do have some knowledge of engines but I have never turned a bolt on a bike before. is this problem to advanced for me, or can you guys walk me through the repair process involved?

thanks in advance,
Trina

Saw your post and thought I'd throw in a suggestion. Did the bike loose compression? If not, sounds like something in the valve train. Does it try to run? Good luck

it won't even turn over, I would try to roll start it but it's one of those little 3 speed automatics. It sounds like the crank is broke or something because when I try to turn it over it just makes a loud clicking noise.
