Old Trials bikes

Dose anyone own or know of anyone who has a 74' or 75' Susuki RL 250? If so, what do you think of them. As i understand, they were only made for those two years, where they not compeditive or not popular? I have one and i think it is a nice play bike. Lots of torque.

Re: Old Trials bikes

If you like the bike, then who cares what others think of it? Besides, MOST of us are probably too young to have ever even seen one of those old trials bikes, much less know about 'em.

You're not too old for a spanking young man. The only trials bike I had anything to do with was a 197? Honda TL125.

Re: Old Trials bikes

Hey- the RL250 trials bike was a neat bike- cool skinny alloy gas tank, sharp looking. But I think the Yamaha TY250 was the best Japanese trials bike. Honda made the TL125 and TL250, Kaw had a KT250. In the early/mid 70's Bultaco ruled though. Their trials bike was called a Sherpa T- could get it in a 250 or 350. Just like in MX, the new trials bikes are light years ahead of those old ones. Seems like observed trials came on big around 1974 and lost popularity fast in the later 70's. (All trials bikes have gobs of torque.)
