Steering Head Bearings

I'm getting ready to change the bearings in my KLX steering head. It sat in a basement while I was gone and I believe moisture may have gotten in there (I probably washed it before I put it away and water may have rusted/corroded it), It has a sticking point right at the point where it sat for the year. I actually had to jerk them free, it wouldn't turn. I'll be ordering the parts, and I've already got the manual on order. Any pointers learned the hard way that I could avoid would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Steering Head Bearings

It's pretty straight forward.... The first time I did it, the stand I used wasn't strong enough and the bike kept wanting to fall over.

All's I'm sayin is "YEA"
