New Arrival to the garage

Just picked up a 99 YZ250 last night. Its got FMF Fatty and PC2, Applied trip clamp, Renthals, Skat Hooker 8 Paddle.

I like it.

Its got Excell 21" front, and 19" rear wheel. Anybody, know if that is stock?

Re: New Arrival to the garage

I love new arrivals to the garage, be it a bike, truck, tool, refrigerator (beer), or a really warm heater, they're all great. Naked women are also great, but that doesn't seem to happen often, least at my place anyway.

Re: New Arrival to the garage

I hear ya Brian. Yes, they are all great.

Since i live with other people, the naked women thing is rare in the house too.....me an my girl do it in the DIRT!!!

And by the way, I found out that in 99 the Excell 21"/19" rims are stock for my YZ250.

Re: New Arrival to the garage

Actually i traded my 93 Banshee for it straight accross. The range of prices around here for a 99 is $3600-4100. This is in great condition, its clean, id say its worth $4000 for sure.

Is delta valve something to do with the reeds?

Where you located YZroosinya?

Re: New Arrival to the garage

Welp, just a preventative maintainece update. Since i bought the bike on Monday, I have lubed and adjusted the chain, installed a new UNI 2 stage foam filter(oiled), cleaned out the air box, installed a new plug, topped off the coolant, drained the old fuel out, and mixed up a new batch this evening. I cut off the old grips, and installed foam grips. Of course i have de stickered it, paint thinnered it, washed it, and armor-alled it. It is lookin sweet.

I found the main jet to be a 180, whereas, according to FMF, i should have a 172, so i will buy one in the morning, as i am taking the bike on its first trip in the Palm Springs area in the morning.
