Re: 250???????

250 what? Two stroker or four? That is the question these days. I will assume you are riding a 125 smoker, and if you feel you are out growing that, a 250 is in the future for you. I weigh in at 165 and have been riding 250 smokers for almost 12 years, and find the power to be right at the edge of too much, yet just enough to take me right where I want to go. It depends on how new you want to buy, the newer (of course) the better, as the bike weight and dimensions aren't all that different than the 125's. Just remember the power is a LOT different, especially in the lower end and mid range. Lots of snot. The kind of snot that will put you on your tail.....

Good luck in your decision.

Re: 250???????

yeah im lookin for a 250 as well. if you can handle a 125, you should step up to a 250. Like the other guy said the power band is different.

Im lokkin to get a 97-01 CR250. There area few nice ones on the net right now. I was lookin at the dealer at new ones, and they are really nice. I was droolin over the new YZ 250. I heard the 02 honda with case reed is less than thrillin and the YZ is the cats meow. For this year anyway.

Re: 250???????

I HAVE A 99 YZ 250 THAT IM SELLIN. IT HAS BALLS TO RHE WALL. IM 175 BUT I WILL GO FROM 170-185 DEPENDING ON DRINKING AND LIFTING. THERE IS NO OTHER BIKE FOR ME. so much easier to ride than a 125. you dont have to beat the piss out of it to ride fast. and if you do beat the piss out of it, it loves it and keeps the front about 2 inches off the ground and the rear sideways and spinning. i love bringing it up in first and droppping it pinned in fifth. i am going fourstoke next year though.$4.75 a gal for gas is gettin to me.
