\'88 KX125?

Hey all, I am looking at picking up an '88 KX125 for $900. Any opinions on this bike good or bad? I am just getting into dirt bikes and don't know a whole lot about them, or what to look for when buying one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For that money it had better be in super condition....

Take it for a test ride and if it makes any weird sounds, don't get it.... Test ride or look at as many bikes as you can..
Is there a good dealer in your area??

Re: \'88 KX125?

If the comp is below 130, definatly look at the engine, that means bad rings or worn out piston, or both. Definatly test out the suspension, take the whole bike for a test ride. Check to see how the clutch works, do all the gears go smoothly? Check out the radiator for damage. Once it is warmed up(after for like...10 min of riding) let it idle for a while to make sure it runs fine, then snap the throttle open to make sure the carb is workin right...(it will rev quick if the carb is workin right..duh.
